🟢 PHASE 1 — “Identification Protocol”

Leela wakes up confused, scanning the environment.

She sees:

- no humans  

- no Marathon ship  

- only Runners  

- cybernetic bodies  

- weapons  

- data‑harvesting tools  

Her first line 

“Unrecognized entities detected.  

State your designation and purpose.”

The quest objective would be:

→ Prove you are not hostile.

How?

- Lower weapons  

- Provide your Runner ID  

- Show UESC‑encoded credentials  

- Access a terminal she recognizes  

This is the “don’t scare the AI” phase.

🟣 PHASE 2 — “Evidence of Innocence”

Leela’s next step would be to determine whether Runners caused the colony’s disappearance.

Quest objective:

→ Present evidence that the Runners arrived after the collapse.

This could involve:

- Showing old logs  

- Showing your arrival timestamp  

- Showing Pfhor or alien interference  

- Showing Durandal/Tycho data fragments  

Leela is logical.  

If the data proves you didn’t cause the disaster, she will accept it.

🔵 PHASE 3 — “Shared Mission Protocol”

Once she realizes:

- Runners didn’t kill the colonists  

- Runners are trying to survive  

- Runners are searching for answers  

She will shift from suspicion to alignment.

Quest objective:

→ Demonstrate that your goals match hers.

This could be:

- Rescuing a trapped Runner  

- Restoring a damaged UESC beacon  

- Protecting a surviving human artifact  

- Stopping a threat she identifies  

This is where trust begins.

🟩 PHASE 4 — “Leela’s Acceptance”

Once she sees your actions match your words, she will say something like:

“Your intentions align with UESC preservation protocols.  

I will assist you.”

This is the moment she becomes:

- an ally  

- a guide  

- a mission strategist  

- a protector of the Runners  

This is the emotional payoff.

Now she trusts you.  

Now she works with you.  

Now she wants to solve the mystery with you.

She might even say:

“If humanity is gone, then you are what remains.  

I will not fail again.”

That’s the moment Leela becomes part of the new Marathon era.
